Supplements and Drugs for High-blood Sugar

Berberine — significantly lowers blood sugar, improves insulin sensitivity, improves other metabolism markers, and boosts AMPK (RR2). Check out this excellent berberine summary by

White kidney bean extract — alpha-amylase enzyme blocker. Prevents complex carbs from breaking down into sugar (R).

Ceylon Cinnamon — has water-soluble polymers that increase insulin sensitivity (R).

Glucomannan — soluble fiber source that expands up to 20x it’s weight in water and slows the absorption of carbohydrates.

Protein powders — slows the absorption of carbohydrates and satiates. Try to get 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up

Eat more healthy fats with meals — fats slows carbohydrate absorption, reduce blood sugar spikes, and help you eat less carbohydrates.
